FM AUTOMATION– Integration of a filling machine in a warehouse management system.

🙍‍♂️ Customer: Astra Paints Srl, primary local company producing #paints.

🔎 Need: integrate with the system #ERP corporate #SAP Business One a paint production line machine, especially a totally independent and disconnected filling machine.

⚡ Activity: within a plan of #digitization Industry 4.0 it was decided to integrate the machine with the company ERP system created with SAP Business One by Real-Time Srl making it able to accept the list of orders as input #production, process them and deliver i #data closing order and the related machine data associated with the order. A software application named was used to achieve machine integration #fmIND40 di FM Automation able to communicate on one side with the established management system and on the other with the machine (#PLC #Omron CP1L).

🎯 Result: the machine, previously totally unconnected, was completely integrated into the company IT system, first from a networking point of view thanks to the collaboration of SHELLI SRL and then integrated with the SAP Business One system. The machine now receives the production orders that the operators view and manage with a local operator panel (Web Panel). At the end of each order's production, the related data is saved and made available again to the ERP system which manages production and the warehouse. The machine appears to be integrated and exchanges data bidirectionally with the company system and following an appraisal it has been declared as meeting the Industry 4.0 digitization criteria.
